Delivery & Shipping

1. Introduction

At Standex Systems, we take pride in supplying high-quality equipment from trusted European manufacturers. Our aim is always to deliver as quickly and efficiently as possible, but because most of our products are built to order in Italy, delivery times can vary. This page explains what to expect and how we manage the process.

2. General Lead Times

  • Typical lead times range from 2 to 6 weeks depending on product type, specification, and manufacturer schedules.
  • Some stocked or fast-track items may be available sooner, while bespoke or specialist configurations can take longer.
  • All quoted lead times are estimates only — they are not guaranteed and may change at short notice due to factory or transport delays.

3. European Manufacturing & Holiday Periods

Many of our products are manufactured in Italy, where most factories close during the August summer shutdown and for public holidays throughout the year. During these times, production and dispatch are temporarily paused. We always communicate any known delays and revised estimated delivery dates as soon as possible.

4. Dispatch & Shipping

  • Once your goods are ready for dispatch, we arrange shipment from our partner manufacturers or from our UK facility, depending on the product.
  • Deliveries are made using trusted freight and courier partners. Transit time within the UK is usually 2–5 working days from dispatch.
  • Large or palletised deliveries are kerbside as standard. If you require installation, room-of-use delivery, or timed delivery, please let us know when placing your order.

5. Delivery Communication

  • We will keep you informed throughout the process and confirm once your order has been dispatched.
  • If there are any changes to estimated delivery dates, we will contact you directly with an update and revised timeline.
  • Because manufacturing and transport are outside our direct control, we are unable to accept liability for delays caused by suppliers, customs, couriers, or other external factors.

6. Delivery Charges

  • Delivery costs vary depending on product size, weight, and destination. These will be clearly stated on your quotation or order confirmation.
  • Additional charges may apply for offshore UK locations, difficult-access sites, or timed deliveries.

7. Risk & Ownership

  • Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery to your premises or site.
  • Ownership remains with Standex Systems until full payment has been received.

8. Delivery Issues

  • If your delivery arrives damaged or incomplete, please notify us within 3 working days of receipt and include photographs where possible.
  • We will liaise with the manufacturer or courier to resolve the issue promptly and arrange repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.

10. Summary

We do everything we can to ensure reliable, transparent delivery — but with international production and logistics involved, lead times can fluctuate. We’ll always keep you informed, communicate realistic expectations, and make sure your order arrives as soon as possible.
